Bond of Friendship

I was left alone in the dark
so bleak, weary and cold
but knowing you're there to hold on to
is a light that gives hope
a warmth that lingers and
a heart that beats for eternity

The whole world closes in on me
I scream but no one hears me
I made a raucous sound, but it was nothing
I reached out my hands
hoping I could grasp unto somenthing,
but nothings there
I tried to be logical, but nobody understands

I turn to you coz your doors are wide open
for someone like me.
You can hear me if i whisper
and even when i'm mute
To you i'm illogical, but you know how to comprehend
To you i'm strong, but you know how weak i really am
I have seen that your heart is the only safe place i can dwell on
Certainty, Security, it's all in there
I unsealed my heart too
because i know you also need a heart to dwell on

But soon we would go our separate ways.
And go back to the life where we last left it.
That's one true sad thing we would have to face.
There would be oceans between us.
It blocks our way to be together
It's a barricade for me to cross
But there's One true thing I beleive that would keep us together
It's the bond that is strong enough to make us stand
The bond that makes one visible
The bond that makes us believe we're never alone

It's the same bond we held tight....

The bond of friendship....The only bond that lasts forever....
